Site upgrades

X3:Terran Conflict
In preparation for the release of X3:Terran Conflict, the Xai Corporation website is undergoing a bit of an upgrade. Most of the initial work is being done on the backend, so you probably wont notice much of a difference.

One thing you will notice, if you host your scripts here, is that the Projects and Script Packages have been rolled in to one.

Serial Kicked Scripts on Xai Corporation

X2:The ThreatX3:Reunion
Xai Corporation are pleased to anounce that Serial Kicked's excellent scripts are now available for download from here at xai-corp.net.

new web host

X3:Reunion
this site has now moved to a new web host. Hopefully this should mean faster page loading for you. The initial indications are good.

still a couple of bugs to work out, but other than that I hope this will give Xai Corporation a new lease of life.

Adding scripts to the database

X2:The ThreatX3:Reunion
One of the more popular sections on the site is the scripts database. Although there are quite a few scripts, and now mods, listed in it there are still many more that aren't.

If you are a registered member here, this is something that you can help with.

Site Upgrades

I've just completed some upgrades to the backend of the site. Everything seems to have worked as planned, so you shouldn't actually notice much difference. I took the opportunity to tweek some of the templates, downloads and resource lists so you might notice some minor differences there.

I've got plenty more of these upgrades to come. Hopefully there shouldn't be much interuption to services. When it's all done things should be a bit more streamlined.

better searching

I've updated the search box at the top of this screen to use google instead of the rather limited built in search. It's far quicker and provides better results.

Hope you like the change.

fixing scripts and XaiCorp graphics

Fixing Scripts

I've just opened a new project for tracking bugs and ideas for upgrading the stock scripts that come with X3. I've already released a couple of fixes for the stock scripts, the Jumpsequence fix, !move.movetosector jump enablingfix, and the updates to the buy/sell ware commands for example. Now I want to get you guys involved.

The idea isn't to completly rewrite the scripts, just to fix certain problems or dangerous behaviours and to add new functionality in a simple maner. I doubt very much that stopping the autopilot crashing into things is within the scope of this project, so please don't even suggest it. If you do see something that could have been handled better, please feel free to mention it, and if you've got a quick fix for something, I'd love to see it too.

alternative script stylesheet

X2:The ThreatX3:Reunion
I got fed up with the default stylesheet (x2script.xsl) used for viewing scripts in browsers such as IE or Firefox. So I decided to see if I could change it a bit, make it a bit more friendly to the eyes, maybe easier to read.

Well, I don't know if I've actually achieved that but I thought some of you might like to see the work. You should be able to download the new x2script.xsl from the link at the bottom of this page

Script Database and Resource lists

X2:The ThreatX3:Reunion
I've finally finished off the resource lists pages. They show the command slots, textfiles, text pages and ware slots used by the scripts in the Scripts Database.

The database and lists are for both X2 and X3 scripts. If you've writen your own scripts you can add your script's data without having to upload the script here. I don't upload my scripts anywhere else, why should I ask you to ;) . When you add you script to the database you can specify a link to where your script can be found.

MSCI handbook updates

X2:The ThreatX3:Reunion
I've been working on the MSCI Handbook again. There are still a lot of commands in the commands list section that don't have any description. Just a reminder that if any one feels like adding some stuff, feel free. We can make this into a really usefull scripting resource but it needs input from more people than just me.
